Our first time at Dia and it was a great experience! Alex, our waiter, was simply amazing. He was very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere! The food was just delicious, very tasty and good portions. I definitely recommend it and looking forward to visiting again!

My partner and I with 2 other friends tried this restaurant last night for our first time, to try out the Winterlicious menu at Dia Restaurant and Lounge. This restaurant is located on the second floor of the recently opened Canopy Hilton Hotel. We arrived for our 7:30 reservation on the snowiest day of the year, so the restaurant was not busy due to the weather. After taking our jackets and getting settled, we ordered 3 Negronis and a Cosmo to warm things up as we perused the menu. Our server, Selena, made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. She was very engaging and, after we asked, gave us several recommendations from the Winterlicious menu. So going on Selana’s advice, two of us started with the Warm Farro Salad, one had the Spicy Korean Fried Chicken appetizer, and the other had the Scallop ceviche. The salad was delicious – a very generous crisp mix of Snap Peas, Baby Bok Choy, Black Kale, toasted almonds and, warm Farro, with a delicious maple balsamic vinaigrette. The Spicy Chicken was also substantial and apparently very tasty, as was the smaller Scallop ceviche. For our mains, three of us opted for the Brazilian Chicken Supreme (Selena recommended). Perfectly braised chicken breast with grilled jalapeno pepper, coconut jasmine rice and drizzled with spicy Turmeric sauce and a fresh lime slice. Very memorable dish. We all caved and had the Decadent Chocolate Cake and Lattes. The cake held up to the name, chocolaty rich and melt in your mouth velvety. In summary, wonderful service from our server Selena, about whom I cannot say enough good things, generous portions of delicious food, and a very relaxing evening on a cold, wintery night in Toronto. We didn't want to leave... We definitely will come back again.

I've had a couple experiences at Dia during a stay at the Canopy.. none of them were as bad as some of the other reviews here will suggest. Jen was a great server! The wild mushroom pasta was exactly what I needed. Mehrsa was so nice to me on a stressful morning, I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders and honestly I got a bit emotional there's something really wonderful about the way she speaks to you - I hope she knows! She's special

I had a great time here. The staff is super friendly and they provide excellent service. The triple chocolate mousse cake was so delicious Pasta was great and the steak was so tender and juicy. ...

The food was incredible. The chuck steak was on the slightly saltier side for me, but my boyfriend didn’t think so. Our waiter Iago was amazing and wonderful! The bartender was able to customize a drink I wanted for me. The food initially took a little longer but the ambiance more than makes up for it. Big Instagram spot though for people, the restaurant is beautiful. Had a lovely time here. Pricey, but worth it. Will definitely return.

I had the pleasure of being served by Diana, and she was absolutely incredible! From the moment we sat down, her positive attitude and warmth made the entire dining experience so much more enjoyable. She was attentive, friendly, and really went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Diana's delightful personality truly stood out, and she made the meal unforgettable. Highly recommend her – she’s the best!

The restaurant ambiance is beautiful. I had a great time celebrating my sisters 30th and our server Diana really made it special and was honestly the best from the moment we sat down. She made sure we had everything we needed and even let us know what we should try next time on the menu. Was a fabulous night!

Overall great dinner and drinks. Served by Alex and Bartender Jeremiah. Dined last night for the first time and at the server Alex’s recommendation I had the wild mushroom agnolotti alla sorrentina. It’s a vegetarian dish but I was able to add chicken to it. The sauce was nice and creamy with the perfect balance of flavour with just a touch of spice. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to drink with it but decided on a negroni.l that was exactly what I needed. Great atmosphere with a chic interior. The lounge music was at the right level just in the background, it wasn’t too busy with a few others dining, a few at the bar, and a few in the lounge. Server Alex was attentive and made a great recommendation. Bartender Jeremiah knows how to listen and make a good negroni! With the service delivery and quality of the dish I’d definitely return.
